Be Ready In A Snap With A Shoulder Wrap!

Posted on: June 17, 2011

Have you noticed more and more women are putting wraps or shawls around their shoulders instead of sweaters when it becomes chilly outside or in an air conditioned room?

I received my first wrap as a gift about 10 years ago. It's made of Alpaca fiber.  It's incredibly warm and is perfect for fall football games or holiday caroling.

Pashmina and silk wraps are especially nice because they are so soft and give you just enough warmth to take care of you in a cold room or if the temperature drops outside.  They also take up very little room and can even fit in many of today's purses.

The other advantage of a pashmina and silk wrap is it is so pretty.  It often enhances the outfit you are wearing.  The color and the texture of the pashmina fabric as well as the dimensions and tassle finish work contribute to the overall effect.

I am especially fond of this black pashmina wrap because it tends to go with so many outfits, especially ones you wear during the evening, or during the day in the fall or winter.

But, I must confess, a rich fire engine red wrap is fabulous and very festive around the holidays in November and December.

If you are off to a tropical island resort or are taking a cruise during the winter months, this lovely light orange pashmina wrap should get a lot of use, especially with outfits that are  white or in any shade of olive.

So, if you don't own a wrap yet, get one and see for yourself how great they are.  You may even end up donating all those old button down sweaters to charity!
